Sidekick

Accept the truth that you are merely a sidekick.

The spotlight could never shine on you.
When it does, it's either your imagination or illusion.

That is heart-breaking.

When you got no idea at all,
And merely executing orders one by one,
You are, of course, not credited.

When you slowly got ideas,
But have no idea how it could be executed,
You are, again, not credited after it's finally accomplished.

When you are not responsible for the idea,
Just trying to modify things and help it executed out,
You are, unsurprisingly, not credited.


No matter which role you step in,
You are not credited or recognized.

Then you would understand,
You have always been the sidekick.


When you want all the praise and credits - that's human greed.
When you want to be recognized for what you help doing - that's human need.
